Description

Chharilla is a perennial lichen located & found on rocks or deadwood inside the temperate Himalayas. It is often a local of the Indian subcontinent and normally located in Himachal Pradesh and Bengal. The thallus includes a flattened, foliose shape with a greater or much less deeply incised higher surface, yellowish-white on pinnacle and black at the lower Surface, leathery to touch; sensitive rhizoids stand up from the lower surface, scent and flavor now no longer distinct, bud-like bodies called soredia also are a gift at the higher surface of the thallus. It consists of Lichen acids (Atranorin and Lecanoric acid). It also consists of carbohydrates and protein. Chharilla utilized in seminal weakness and male sexual debility, fungal infections in women, like vaginal candidiasis. It is beneficial in thirst, ulcer, wounds, sores, boils, burning sensation, fever, inflammations, pores and skin disease, dyspnoea, asthma, amenorrhea, urinary disease, and Renal calculi.
